A Review of Health Risks Associated with Pesticides Use among Ghanaian Farmers

Pesticides are widely used in the management of pests and diseases vegetable production Ghana. However, several negative implications including adverse health effects observed mainly due to misapplication pesticides. This review is assess how much farmers know about challenges associated with exposure pesticides, what they perceive be hazards around their use. In this work published scientific papers words pesticide, risk, exposure, vegetables were reviewed. Also Publications relating directly title Ghana was greatly considered. The findings indicate that majority unaware real pesticide risks therefore underestimated potential human environmental risks. It misused terms types quantities applied themselves not adequately protected on job. Farmers however acknowledged do experience some common consequences which include itching, headache, weakness, dizziness, burning sensation, catarrh, stomach pain, unconsciousness, itching eyes body pains. misapplying pesticides by disregarding harmful health. need for Agricultural Extension officers, Ministry Food Agriculture Health intensify education reduce farmers. &nbsp
